Hello everyone, I'm Kevin Chen

About Me

Hello! I'm a freshman computer science undergrad at Purdue University, and I'm passionate in integrating hardware, physics, 3D graphics, or pretty much anything with code.

In my free time, I like to play ping pong and basketball, and I also like hiking.

I'm open to any STEM related opportunities, so please reach out!

Explore My Work

FIRST Robotics

From 2024-2026, I programmed custom robots in both FTC and FRC as the lead software developer in the BrainSTEM organization. By adopting industry standard robotics algorithms, BrainSTEM is ranked #1 in PA for autonomous navigation while winning 6 software-specific awards.

Research

For summer 2024, I was a student researcher at UPMC Hillman Academy and returned summer 2025 to work with Dr. Shaohua Pi (my mentor), and Justin Chen (my lab partner) in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Ophthalmology.

To keep a concise portfolio, I didn’t show a lot of the more random, smaller projects I’ve done. If you’re interested, a full list can be viewed in my Github, and you can find a lot more demos at my itch.io dashboard.
